Jonathan began practicing federal and state criminal defense in San Antonio, Texas in 2016. His entire legal career has been dedicated to criminal defense. He’s tried cases to verdict in Federal court, and countless cases in State Court. Additionally, Jonathan has handled appeals in State and Federal Courts.

Jonathan studied under Gerry Goldstein, Van Hilley and Cynthia Orr during Law School when he clerked for all three of them. While there, Jonathan worked on cases stemming from beginning investigations all the way through post-conviction writs at both the State and Federal levels.

Following law school, Jonathan worked under Julie Hasdorff and John Convery at Hasdorff and Convery. There, he continued practicing criminal defense, focusing primarily on State and Federal criminal defense, with some exposure to criminal defense in the Military.

In 2022, Jonathan worked as an attorney for the Bexar County Managed Assigned Counsel, where he taught both new and experienced attorneys the ins and outs of practicing federal law.

Jonathan currently serves as a board member for the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association
